Fashionable New Yorkers took to the streets Thursday night for Fashion's Night Out.

Oh, what a night.

Fashion's Night Out was a huge success across New York Thursday evening, when more than 1,000 Big Apple stores stayed open late into the night and entertained shoppers with free gifts, celebrity performances and a lot of champagne.

While crowds were partying to the beats of Solange Knowles at Lord & Taylor, or getting to shoot hoops with Kris Humphries at Saks 5th Ave., hoards of teens were left crying outside Dolce & Gabbana when not all of them could get signatures from pop sensation Justin Bieber.

Those who could get into the exclusive bash, however, were treated to appearances from "Gossip Girl" actors Kelly Rutherford and Matthew Settle, and a performance by Asher Roth, which one in-store spy described as an "absolute mosh pit."

More civilized performances were happening nearby at Valentino, where a well-behaved Tracy Morgan was belting out karaoke tunes with the likes of Natalie Cole, who sang "Unforgettable," and Candace Bergen.

Miss Piggy was busy entertaining the guests at the Opening Ceremony fete at the Ace Hotel. The "Muppets" star also took questions from her fans.

"What are you wearing?" one guest asked.

"It's called a dress," she cooed.

One of her fans was director Spike Jonez, who, according to an insider, had "major chemistry" with the starlet.

We wonder what Kermit thinks of that.
