Kanye West partied in Paris on Saturday night (October 1) as fashion critics slammed his first womenswear collection.

The rapper had unveiled his new line earlier in the day at Paris Fashion Week in front of celebrity-packed crowd that include Lindsay Lohan and 30 Seconds To Mars' Jared Leto.

Critic Long Nguyen of Fashionista said West's collection, which boasted a fur rucksack and snakeskin pants, failed to consider the reality of the fashion business.

Forbes' Blue Carreon concluded the line consisted of clothes for Kanyes tribe, women who have to attend the Grammy Awards in statement making clothes that reveal a lot of skin.

Grazia reports one fashion editor was overheard saying it was like bad prostitute clothes.

But West didn't appear concerned about the reviews as he spent the night celebrating the launch at Club Silencio in Paris later in the evening.

ABC News said West thanked guests for supporting him and urged them to allow him to grow.

I thank anybody who came to this party, everybody who supported, everybody who believed, because people thought it was a joke, and maybe people still do, but I can only grow from this point, he added.

West's collection was originally thought to be a collaboration with British designer Louise Goldin, although it is not clear if the pair did work together.
